Getting deep into the future global green energy landscape
Challenge
With a global imperative of decarbonization, Business Finland needed to understand the intricate dynamics and developments in green hydrogen over the next two decades. Part of that what to decipher the uncertainties surrounding the economic viability of PtX and how to translate technical feasibility into economic reality.
Approach
We carried out a Delphi Study, engaging 58 experts from diverse backgrounds. The study affirmed that green hydrogen would play a crucial role in the energy transition, offering versatility via PtX applications in the industrial, energy, and transport sectors. We managed to move beyond status quo and provide new perspectives on green and blue hydrogen.
Outcomes
Informed decision-making on economic realities
The study provided Business Finland with insights into the economic uncertainties of PtX, enabling them to make informed decisions on the economic viability of PtX, and do better strategic planning and support within the green hydrogen landscape.
