ANTICIPATE Partners with DJØF for Scenario Strategy Course

In a bid to equip professionals with the tools to navigate an increasingly complex and uncertain future, we have joined forces with DJØF, a union representing academic and business economics professionals and students, to introduce a course titled "Future Scenarios in Strategy Development."

The course, designed for professionals working in strategy, innovation, and business development, aims to empower participants to make better and more forward-thinking strategic decisions. It targets individuals keen on understanding and analyzing societal changes and their strategic implications for their respective organizations.

"Whether you're a leader, manager, consultant, or project lead, if you're involved in shaping the future direction of your organization, this course is tailored for you," says Mathias Behn Bjørnhof, a futurist and the founder of ANTICIPATE, who will lead the sessions.

Set to kick off on multiple dates starting from October 7th, 2024, at locations in Copenhagen Ø, the two-day course will delve into various methodologies, including horizon scanning, uncertainty assessment, and scenario planning. Participants will gain insights into identifying critical trends, working with uncertainties, and crafting and evaluating future scenarios to inform strategic initiatives.

"Our approach isn't just theoretical; it's practical. Participants will engage in hands-on activities, working through real-world cases to apply the theories and methodologies discussed," explains Bjørnhof.

The course structure emphasizes an interactive learning experience, with participants encouraged to actively participate in group exercises and discussions. Additionally, DJØF's digital learning portal will complement the in-person sessions, offering supplementary materials and activities to enhance the learning journey.

"One of the key takeaways from this course is the development of a concrete plan for integrating future-oriented methodologies into participants' organizational strategies," adds Bjørnhof.

Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a toolkit comprising methods and case studies, enabling them to continue implementing strategic foresight practices within their organizations.

As part of DJØF's commitment to maximizing learning outcomes, participants will also have access to a complimentary online learning workshop aimed at optimizing learning before, during, and after the course.

"With this collaboration, we're not just preparing individuals for the future; we're equipping them with the skills to actively shape it," concludes Bjørnhof.
