Copenhagen Futures Safari

On Tuesday, we had the incredible opportunity to guide a group of Spanish innovators and branding professionals on a tour by ZINK on a journey through Copenhagen and from the past to the future. Our mission? To dive deep into the city's evolution from its industrial roots to a beacon of sustainability and liveability. Here's a glimpse into our exploratory journey.

Our adventure began on the canals of Copenhagen, where we narrated the city's transformation. As we glided past the juxtaposition of old and new, we shared stories of how Copenhagen has reinvented itself, shifting from industrial grime to a green, thriving urban space and witnessing the city's past, present, and potential futures.

At our office at Demokrati Lab, we immersed ourselves in a workshop designed to provoke thought and inspire innovation. We tackled the futures of democracy, community, and sustainability. Through a game called "Thing from the Future," we stretched our imaginations, contemplating scenarios ranging from government-controlled happiness to surreal experiences of life and death. It was a melting pot of ideas, sparking lively discussions and creative thinking.

Our interactions weren't confined to our group. We engaged with local thought leaders, like the team at cirka cph, who shared their approach to integrating humanity with sustainability. Their passion and commitment to making a difference in climate action were not only inspiring but also a learning moment for all of us on the tour.

This tour was more than just a sightseeing trip; it was a journey of discovery and inspiration. We watched new ideas take shape, and enjoyed the collective curiosity of the group, with the day ending in a visit to a traditional Danish restaturant.

If you're ever curious about seeing a city's history intertwined with its future, Copenhagen is the place to be. Reach out if you are curious to learn more or if you are planning a retreat, a delegation or an inspiration visit.
